LaneLogic 2.0 is here: every screen rebuilt.

Release Notes · August 22, 2026 · 6 min read

LaneLogic 2.0 is live on the App Store and Google Play. It is the biggest release we have shipped: a ground-up rebuild of the whole app. Every screen redesigned, the scoring flow made faster, and the coaching tools pushed further. Here is what changed and why.

A new look, on purpose

Every screen got rebuilt in a new warm, editorial design. Darker, calmer, easier to read under alley lighting. This was not a coat of paint. We went screen by screen and rethought what belongs on each one: what you actually look at during a game, and what was just noise. The result feels like one app instead of features bolted together over a year.

Faster to score

The Play screen is now built around one tap. Pick tonight's league or open play and you are scoring. Fewer taps, less setup, the same pin-by-pin accuracy. Scoring a full game should feel quick, because you are doing it while you bowl.

The bowler profile, rebuilt

Tap any bowler and you get a real profile, organized into four tabs:

  • Overview with your average, high game, and recent trend at a glance.
  • Analysis with Performance Benchmarks graded against real coaching tiers, plus Pin Leave Analysis and What-If scoring so you can see exactly where a game was won or lost.
  • Coaching with your priority issue, your most frequent leaves, and your conversion rates on each.
  • Gear for the balls in your bag.

Team mode, leveled up

The team and program tools got the biggest upgrade. Program analytics roll up every team you run. And the Baker Optimizer ranks your bowlers by real Baker-frame performance, then hands you your best five with the projected pin gain over your usual lineup. Set your lineup by the data, not gut feeling.

Coaching a program? The whole coaching toolkit, including the Baker Optimizer, multi-coach scoring, and program analytics, is on the For Coaches page.

LaneLogic IQ, still on your phone

All the smart stuff still runs on your device. What Should I Throw gives you a ball recommendation matched to the pattern. Coaching Insights, Live MAX score in-game, and Performance Benchmarks all run locally. No cloud, no LLM, no third party seeing your data. We built it that way on purpose.

What is still here

Everything you already relied on came along: Bowling Wrapped for your season recap, seven import sources so you can bring your history from LaneTalk, PinPal, LeagueSecretary and more, free CSV and PDF export on every tier, 422 balls, and 734 oil patterns.
