Short answer: If you want detailed stats for yourself, your family or a whole team, and you're tired of paying just to see your own history, yes. LaneLogic scores every frame, keeps stats for every bowler, handles Baker team scoring, and imports your old games. It's free to start. It's not league management software, and it's not built for one-tap casual scoring.
I'm Michael. I build LaneLogic. I'm a bowling dad from Nebraska, and I started it after watching our own stats get locked behind paywalls in other apps. So take this page for what it is: the maker's answer. I'll tell you who it's good for, who it isn't, and where to read reviews from people who aren't me.
What LaneLogic does well
- Stats for every bowler you score. Strike and spare percentages, single-pin spares, first-ball average, pin leaves, score history. Score your whole family or team and everyone gets the same full stats page.
- Team programs and Baker. Rosters, multiple teams, Baker scoring with subs mid-game, and a lineup optimizer built from your own Baker frames. This is where high school and college coaches spend most of their time in the app.
- Bringing your history with you. Imports from PinPal, LeagueSecretary, LeaguePals, league standings PDFs, CSV files, or a photo of the scoreboard.
- Coaching that explains itself. LaneLogic IQ runs on your phone and shows why it says what it says, not just a number.
- The Lane Sheet. Log where you stood, where you aimed and where the ball went, shot by shot.
- Your data is yours. CSV export is available on every plan, including free.
Who it's not for
- League secretaries. LaneLogic doesn't run a league, collect dues or print standings for a whole house. Use league software for that. LaneLogic can import from it.
- Anyone who wants a full desktop dashboard. LaneLogic is built for iPhone, iPad and Android. It also installs on Apple silicon Macs as the iPad app, but it isn't optimized for desktop yet.
- Bowling once a year with friends. It works for that, but it's built for people who want to get better.

What people have asked us to fix, and what changed
Most of what's in LaneLogic came from bowlers and coaches telling me what was wrong. A few examples. A high school coach told us the league flow in our 2.0 redesign didn't fit how she scored her team, so we rebuilt leagues around multiple bowlers. A coach at a championship found that a Baker sub didn't stay in for that bowler's next turn, and that was fixed and released within days. If something doesn't work the way you need, email me. I read every one.
